As part of our European Film Tour we are investing €100,000 in wetland restoration projects.
A few years ago, we could never have imagined that we would be at this point. What began as a small idea has developed into a real mission with its own movie.
Wetlands have taught us that true change takes time. But they have also shown us that every contribution counts and that we need to act immediately. Every square meter of restored wetland such as peatlands and swamps stores CO₂, every protected wetland gives endangered species a new home.
Thanks to our partners, supporters and all the people who believe in this mission with us, we can now scale our action: €100,000 will go directly towards the protection and restoration of wetland landscapes in Europe.

Why Wetlands?
Peatlands are our best climate protectors. They store twice as much CO₂ as all the world’s forests combined and are essential for biodiversity and water storage. But they are rapidly disappearing. The need for action is enormous – and we want to help change this.
How do we use the €100,000?
- Implementation this year: Our goal is to launch the first projects in 2025.
- Micro-investments between € 5,000 and € 20,000: We specifically support smaller, impactful projects that have an immediate effect: Water pumps, tools, planning work or removal of invasive species.
- Kick-off for further major projects: This first investment is intended to be the starting signal for larger, long-term projects.
- Our panel decides: Our selection is made by a panel of wetland scientists and impact investors to ensure that the money provides maximum benefit.
- The film tour as a starting point: During our European Film Tour 2025, we will identify, visit and, ideally, directly implement projects.
What are the criteria?
- Investments can only be made in registered non-profit organizations.
- The organization must work on wetland projects or climate protection and be active in the European Union.
- We prefer smaller organizations that we can help even with our reach and marketing.
Now it’s your turn!
Which wetland protection projects should we support? Which organizations are doing great work in nature conservation and deserve more support?
Let’s create impact together! 🌍💚
