By fusing our existing ground-truth sensor network with ESA’s satellite data, we are creating something revolutionary: measuring water table depth and soil moisture directly from space.

No expensive hardware on every site. No manual data collection. Just highly accurate, continuous high-resolution predictions—accessible from anywhere in the world.

Why This Changes Everything for Wetlands

Currently, up to 80% of the preparation costs for a restoration project are swallowed by manual monitoring and bureaucratic feasibility studies. By automating this process from space, we are slashing those costs. Every euro we save on manual monitoring is a euro that goes directly into the physical restoration of the land.

Furthermore, with landmark regulations like the EU Nature Restoration Law and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), municipalities and companies are desperately searching for verifiable, audit-ready environmental data. We are giving them the tool to finally make their wetland impact transparent and scalable.

The Next Era of Our Mission

We are still the same crew. We still love getting our hands dirty, and we will never stop doing the hard physical work on the ground. But protecting a global ecosystem requires a global technology.

ESA’s backing is the ultimate proof of concept for our vision. It transforms Mission to Marsh from a passionate grassroots initiative into a tech-enabled conservation enterprise.

Let’s bring the water back. On Earth.

Your Mission to Marsh Crew

We are officially taking our vision into orbit: Together with the European Space Agency (ESA) we are developing our satellite-enhanced wetland monitoring service, Life on Marsh, through its Business Applications and Space Solutions Kick-start initiative.
