100,000 square meters of peatland are being restored! What a perfect finish: What began 42 days ago as a bold vision is now a reality. On the very last day of our MOORATHON 2026, we crossed that magical threshold together. <\/p>\n\n

\"MtM<\/figure>\n\n

Over 5,000 people<\/strong> from all over Germany have gone above and beyond in recent weeks\u2014whether it was their daily walk with the dog, biking to work, strenuous hikes through the moors, or a long Sunday run. Every single step, every pedal stroke, and every outing in the fresh air has directly contributed to our planet\u2019s well-being. These small, everyday activities have literally turned into a nationwide movement for bog conservation. <\/p>\n\n

Pure drama in the final meters: The Leaderboard Final<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Not only did the overall standings remain exciting right up to the last minute, but there was also a thrilling neck-and-neck race at the top of the standings in the final stretch!<\/p>\n\n

  • 1st Place:<\/strong> In a spectacular final sprint, Team ENTEGA<\/strong> mustered all their remaining strength, caught up to the title favorites, and deservedly secured first place!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 2nd Place:<\/strong> A huge compliment to Team Furries<\/strong> (led by YouTube veterinarian Karim), who led the pack for weeks and covered an incredible distance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 3rd Place:<\/strong> The VfL Bad Nenndorf<\/strong> community fought its way to an impressive third-place finish\u2014a fantastic team effort!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    We tip our hats to all of you for this athletic and environmental feat!<\/p>\n\n

    Next stop: Spreewald!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    The best part of this success is what comes next. Thanks to the kilometers you\u2019ve all walked, we now have the necessary funds and energy to restore a large, contiguous stretch of wetland in the Spreewald. Degraded areas will soon be transformed back into a wet, CO2-storing, and species-rich habitat. We\u2019ll, of course, keep you updated on every step of the restoration process through our channels! <\/p>\n\n
